The Texts of the Old Testament, which were quoted during the Debates and the Arguments and the Dialogues in the Gospels
In this section we will examine some texts in the Gospels that contain debates and dialogues and arguments, in which the Gospels authors have cited texts from the Old Testament; to find out if these texts consistent with the Gospels and not contradicting with them, nor with the principles and the concepts and the texts of the Old Testament, and if the Gospels authors did not distort and manipulate them to serve what they believe, as we have seen in the previous sections how they have used the texts of the Old Testament to write their narratives to bestow a state of holiness and credibility and reliability on what they have written, away from the revelation and the Holy Spirit, or even the historical events; for this they have distorted and manipulated the texts of the Old Testament, whether by changing the meaning of them, or by adding some paragraphs, or by deleting others, or by writing some paragraphs that were not written in the Old Testament, or by writing some names and numbers that are inconsistent with what is written in the Old Testament, etc.
7 - The Source of the Saying of Jesus that the Kingdom of God will be taken from the Jews and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it
Matthew 21:42 Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?
Matthew 21:43 "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
Matthew 21:44 "And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."
Matthew 21:45 Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them.
Matthew 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet.
Mark 12:10 "Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.
Luke 20:17 Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’?
Luke 20:18 "Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."
Luke 20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people — for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.
These texts are part of the dialogue that took place between Jesus and the Jews before a few days of his trial, as it is written in the Gospels, in which he rejected to declare the authority which he was doing miracles by it, then he begins speaking to them and declaring that the kingdom of God will be taken from them and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it, and cited the text of the Psalm.
And before reviewing the text of the Psalms, I'd like to draw attention to the fact that this text or the prophecy, if it is true, applies to Jesus himself and his disciples, because they were all of the children of Israel, and he said that he was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, as in the following texts:
Matthew 15:23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, "Send her away, for she cries out after us."
Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.
Matthew 10:6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Therefore, anything applies to the children of Israel is definitely applies to Jesus and the disciples.
Now let's review the Psalm that contains the quote to see if it applies to Jesus and the various churches, who say that they are a nation that will be given the Kingdom of God, after be taken from the children of Israel.
Psalm 118:1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 118:2 Let Israel now say, "His mercy endures forever."
Psalm 118:3 Let the house of Aaron now say, "His mercy endures forever."
Psalm 118:4 Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His mercy endures forever."
The Psalm begins by calling people to give thanks to the Lord for He is good, and His mercy endures forever. And this saying was written in the Gospels, but they have put it in the context of narrative which invalidates the laws of faith of the churches, that says that Jesus is a god and the son of God and one of three Persons who are one and have the same nature and essence, as in the following texts:
Matthew 19:16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?"
Matthew 19:17 So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
Mark 10:17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
Mark 10:18 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
Luke 18:18 Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
Luke 18:19 So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.
So, the rejection of Jesus to call him good, and saying that no one is good but One that is God is a clear evidence that Jesus have nothing to do with the LORD in terms of nature and essence, not as say the churches that Jesus is a god and the son of God and one of the three Persons who are one and have the same nature and essence, because if he had any relationship with the LORD should not reject this saying.
Psalm 118:5 I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.
Psalm 118:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
Psalm 118:7 The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
In these paragraphs the speaker begins calling the Lord in distress and says that the LORD has answered him and set him in a broad place, and this does not apply to Jesus because the LORD did not answer him, forcing him to cry out on the cross "My God, my God why have you forsaken me".
Psalm 118:10 All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
Psalm 118:11 They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
Psalm 118:12 They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
Psalm 118:13 You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the LORD helped me.
Psalm 118:14 The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.
Psalm 118:15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
Psalm 118:16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
In these paragraphs says the speaker that all nations surrounded him but in the name of the LORD he will destroy them, and this indicates that the Psalm does not talk about Jesus, as say the churches, because the Gospels did not narrate any story that the nations have surrounded him, and in the name of the LORD he has destroyed them, but the four Gospels said that he was paying taxes to Caesar, and he has been arrested by a handful of soldiers and servants, and all of his disciples left him alone and fled!
Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.
Psalm 118:18 The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.
In these paragraphs says the speaker that he will not die, but live, and the LORD has not given him over to death, and this saying contradicts what is written in the Gospels about the end of Jesus, for it is written that he gave up his spirit and died, (Matthew 27:45-50), (Mark 15:33-37) and (Luke 23:44-46).
Psalm 118:19 Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the LORD.
Psalm 118:20 This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous shall enter.
Psalm 118:21 I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation.
These paragraphs as its predecessors contradicts what is written in the Gospels, for it is written that Jesus has cried out in a loud voice my God, my God, why have you forsaken me, although he spent the whole night calls the Lord to answer him and save him, but the LORD did not save him!
Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.
Psalm 118:23 This was the LORD’S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.
These are the paragraphs that cited by the Gospels authors and they are clear and do not need to explain.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:25 Save now, I pray, O LORD; O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity.
These paragraphs also have not been fulfilled, for the LORD did not save Jesus!
Psalm 118:26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.
This paragraph has been quoted by the Gospels authors on the lips of the crowds when Jesus entered into Jerusalem, as in the following texts:
Matthew 21:9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’! Hosanna in the highest!"
Mark 11:9 Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’!
Luke 19:38 saying:" ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord’! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
But the truth is that all those crowds including his disciples deserted him and fled after less than seven days! (Matthew 26:56) and (Mark 14:50-52).
Psalm 118:27 God is the LORD, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
Psalm 118:28 You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.
Psalm 118:29 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
God is the LORD, i.e., no other gods with Him or beside Him, He who alone deserves praise and thanks, also we read again that the Lord is good, while Jesus has refused to call him good, which indicates that Jesus is not as was described in the laws of faith of the churches, that he is a god and the son of the God and the second person of the three Persons who are one and have the same nature and essence, because if this is true he will not refuse to call him good.
From this careful reading of the Psalm, we find that it was talking about the Oneness of the LORD the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and even if it was talking about the breaking of the covenant with the Children of Israel, and the kingdom of God will be taken from them and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it, it is definitely does not indicate to the churches; that have established their faith on the multiplicity of gods and have broken many of the laws and commandments that were given by the LORD to Moses.
From all of the above, we see how the Gospels authors have used the text of Psalm to try to prove what they believe in; regardless if they contradict what they have written in other stories, or invalidate the laws of the faith of the churches, or the true meaning of the Psalm to link what they have written with the Old Testament, as a revelation and inspiration of the Holy Spirit since they do not have their own revelation and inspiration as shown previously, to bestow a state of holiness and credibility and reliability on their Gospels, which means that our law "do not accept the lying and false" applies to these texts.
8 - The Source of the Saying of Jesus concerning the Signs of the End of the Age and the Destruction of the Temple and the Great Tribulation
Matthew 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
Matthew 24:5 "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many.
Matthew 24:6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Matthew 24:8 "All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Matthew 24:9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.
Matthew 24:10 "And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Matthew 24:11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Matthew 24:12 "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Matthew 24:13 "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:15 "Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation’, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
Matthew 24:16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Matthew 24:17 "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.
Matthew 24:18 "And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
Matthew 24:19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
Matthew 24:20 "And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
Matthew 24:21 "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matthew 24:22 "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Matthew 24:23 "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ’! or ‘There’! do not believe it.
Matthew 24:24 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:25 "See, I have told you beforehand.
Matthew 24:26 "Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert’! do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms’! do not believe it.
Matthew 24:27 "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Matthew 24:28 "For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Matthew 24:30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:32 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
Matthew 24:33 "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near — at the doors!
Matthew 24:34 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Mark 13:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
Mark 13:4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?"
Mark 13:5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
Mark 13:6 "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He’, and will deceive many.
Mark 13:7 "But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
Mark 13:8 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.
Mark 13:9 "But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.
Mark 13:10 "And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.
Mark 13:11 "But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Mark 13:12 "Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
Mark 13:13 "And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Mark 13:14 "So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation’, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Mark 13:15 "Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.
Mark 13:16 "And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
Mark 13:17 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
Mark 13:18 "And pray that your flight may not be in winter.
Mark 13:19 "For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.
Mark 13:20 "And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
Mark 13:21 "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ’! or, ‘Look, He is there’! do not believe it.
Mark 13:22 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Mark 13:23 "But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
Mark 13:24 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
Mark 13:25 "the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

Mark 13:27 "And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.
Mark 13:28 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
Mark 13:29 "So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near — at the doors!
Mark 13:30 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
Mark 13:31 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Mark 13:32 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Luke 21:5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
Luke 21:6 "These things which you see — the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down."
Luke 21:7 So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?"
Luke 21:8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He’, and, ‘The time has drawn near’. Therefore do not go after them.
Luke 21:9 "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."
Luke 21:10 Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
Luke 21:11 "And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
Luke 21:12 "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.
Luke 21:13 "But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
Luke 21:14 "Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;
Luke 21:15 "for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.
Luke 21:16 "You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
Luke 21:17 "And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.
Luke 21:18 "But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
Luke 21:19 "By your patience possess your souls.
Luke 21:20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
Luke 21:21 "Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
Luke 21:22 "For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Luke 21:23 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
Luke 21:24 "And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
Luke 21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
Luke 21:26 "men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
Luke 21:27 "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luke 21:28 "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
Luke 21:29 Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
Luke 21:30 "When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
Luke 21:31 "So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
Luke 21:32 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.
Luke 21:33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
These texts are a dialogue between Jesus and his disciples, and as we read that Jesus has cited the text of the Old Testament that talks about the signs of the End of the Age, and the destruction of the Temple, and the Great Tribulation, and we can note several things that may cast doubt on the credibility and reliability of it, including the following:
The first note is that Matthew and Mark had attributed these things to the Book of Daniel, while Luke had attributed it to the Old Testament in general by saying "that all things which are written may be fulfilled".
The second note is on the paragraphs "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place, heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away", "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place, heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" and "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place, heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away".
This means that all those things that have been written on the lips Jesus in the Gospels should occur before the end of the generation that was in Jesus' time, which did not happen! And we now live after more than nineteen centuries of that generation and nothing happened of what is written in these texts, and heaven and earth did not pass away, which indicates that Jesus' words did pass away, and this proves that Jesus has nothing to do with the LORD in terms of nature and essence, otherwise his words should be fulfilled as the words of the LORD have been fulfilled in the Old Testament, as shown in the first chapter.
The third note is on what was written by Matthew on the lips of Jesus "and pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath", this indicates that Jesus committed to the Sabbath, and asked his disciples and followers to keep it to the End of Age, which the various churches have not adhered to, for they keep Sunday, and this shows how the churches did not keep Jesus' teachings that written in the Gospels.
The fourth note is on what have been written by Matthew and Mark "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only" and "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father".
These paragraphs invalidate all the laws of faith of the churches that talk about the equality of the three Hypostases in terms of the attributes and nature and essence, because they talk about the ignorance of Jesus the unseen, and the Day of Resurrection, and this is not a reference to the equality!
The fifth note is on what have been written by Luke "But not a hair of your head shall be lost".
This saying is a prophecy of Jesus to his disciples that not a hair of their heads shall be lost, and everyone knows that this prophecy have not been fulfilled, because all disciples died and lost hair of their heads, and perished their flesh!
And the most striking and odd thing here is that Luke himself in the Acts of the Apostles had written the same prophecy on the lips of Paul and said it has been fulfilled! As in the following texts:
Act 27:34 "Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."
Act 27:44 and the rest, some on boards and some on parts of the ship. And so it was that they all escaped safely to land.
As for the abomination of desolation, it is written in the Book of Daniel and talks about the end of times, and what will happen in that time, which are hidden and unknown words and sealed, as Daniel himself stated in the text, so no need to comment on them! Including the following paragraphs:
Dan 12:7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
Daniel 12:8 Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?"
Daniel 12:9 And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Daniel 12:10 "Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
Daniel 12:11 "And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
Daniel 12:12 "Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
Daniel 12:13 "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."
From all of the above, we find that the Gospels authors had quoted texts from the Old Testament, as is their method and approach of writing the Gospels, regardless if they had invalidated the laws of the faith of the churches, or the laws of the Old Testament, or writing prophecies that have not been achieved and will not be fulfilled, to bestow a state of holiness and credibility and reliability on what they have written through making the similarity between the texts of the Gospels and the Old Testament, or through the quotations themselves, which means that the law "do not accept the lying and false" applies to these texts.
