Introduction

This book is a new attempt, hopefully to be the last, in the search for the sources which were relied upon by the Gospel authors to write the Gospels.

Despite many attempts and efforts by scholars and researchers to detect the sources of the Gospels over the past centuries, they are unable to reach a decisive conclusion in determining their sources, due to several factors such as, the loss of the original manuscripts, ignorance of the history of their authors, the exact date of writing them,  the lack of understanding of the purpose of their writing and the ways of writing, as well as the Lack of thorough understanding of the relationship between them and the Old Testament, both in texts or principles and concepts, and finally the lack of knowledge about the sects whom have believed in Christ as a prophet and messenger, not as a god and the son of God, such as the Arians and others.

Because of this, I endeavored in this book to overcome many of these factors, and relied in the detection of these sources through search in the relationship between the Old Testament and the Gospels, both in the principles and concepts of the Old Testament and the texts which had been quoted in the Gospels by the authors.

Also, I studied the meaning of the word Gospel, and the ways of writing the Gospels, to solve the question of how they had been written, if it was through the revelation and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, or it was written for a particular purpose, away from the revelation and the Holy Spirit.

The book is divided into five sections, a preface, three chapters and a conclusion.

In the preface, I have briefly reviewed a part of the history of the Gospels and the most famous theories and scholars that have searched for the gospels sources, and I mentioned some of the newly discovered Gospels.

In the first chapter, I explained the most important principles and concepts of the Old Testament and compared them with the principles and concepts of the Gospels.

In the second chapter, I studied the meaning of the word gospel and the purpose of the Gospels authors to write them. Also showed the existence of several lost gospels, which had been preached by the Apostles and the disciples.

In the third chapter, I showed the way of writing the Gospels, as well as I studied the texts of the Old Testament that were quoted by the Gospels authors; given the numerous of texts and the variety of ways of citation, it was divided into several sections, as shown below:

In the first section, I showed several texts in the Gospels that have been attributed to the Old Testament, while they are not written in it.

In the second section, I showed some texts in the Gospels that have been attributed to some books of the Old Testament, yet they are written in other books.

In the third section, I showed some texts in the Gospels contain some names and numbers that inconsistent with what is written in the Old Testament.

In the fourth section, I studied the texts which have been attributed directly to the Old Testament, and compared them with the texts of the Old Testament, to find out the reality of those texts, and if they were fulfilled in Jesus and his time and his generation or not.

In the fifth section, I studied the texts, which were cited from the Old Testament during some dialogues and discussions and arguments that took place between the persons of the New Testament, whether Jesus or the Jews or even the devil.

In the sixth section, I studied the texts which were not attributed directly to the Old Testament, but were quoted from it, and compared them with the texts of the Old Testament to find out the reliability, credibility and reality of them, and if they were talking about Jesus or not.

And finally, a conclusion that summarizes the book's findings.

Preface

The four Gospels are the foundation which the various churches have established their faith upon, and at the same time, are considered one of the most important problems that faced the churches during its long history, in addition to the problems already existing in the four Gospels, whether about the attributes of Jesus and the attributes of his father and the Holy Spirit, or the contradiction with the attributes of the Lord, the only true God the Creator of heavens and earth that mentioned in the Old Testament, or the inconsistencies and differences between the stories which they have mentioned, both in the historical events, or in the same stories themselves; from the genealogy of Jesus to the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem riding on a donkey and colt, his trial, crucifixion, resurrection, and finally his appearance to the disciples, which led to the occurrence of all schisms among the churches, as is well known to all.

As well as, the four Gospels are anonymous, and they  have been written after a long period of the time of the ascension of Jesus to the heaven, and there are many theories and sayings to set this period; this means that the disciples were not preaching by the four Gospels. Also they have not been written by the order of Jesus, as is the case with the Pentateuch; which are if they have not been written by Moses himself, as many researchers and scholars say, yet there are several texts that recommend the children of Israel to write it and keep it.

Moreover, we do not have the original manuscripts of the four Gospels, and the existing manuscripts contain a lot of errors and differences between them, both in the language or in the texts, i.e., there are some paragraphs in some manuscripts which are lost in the other manuscripts, such as the epilogue of the Gospel of Mark, (16 : 9 - 20), etc., or having some paragraphs in some manuscripts indicating to the explanation and interpretation of other paragraphs, while they had been written in other manuscripts as original paragraphs, etc.

For this, the churches have not been seeking to translate the Gospels to the local languages that are spoken by the Peoples, even the Coptic Orthodox Church, until now, does not allow to translate the Gospels to the Arabic language that is spoken by the Copts.

Furthermore, the Catholic church has killed dozens of people on charges of translation the Gospels and interpretation them, because they did not agree with its faith, and Will Durant had mentioned in his book The Story of Civilization that the church had killed twenty men and women in one day on this charge, as well as the Catholic Church has burned the bones of John Wycliffe after forty years of his death because he has translated the Gospels to the English language, because they could not kill him when was still alive!

Despite all these precautions of the churches, yet they were unable to stop the human mind for seeking the freedom of thinking and discussing all issues, including the characteristics of Jesus and his divinity, or the Gospels themselves, and the history tells us about dozens of the fathers of the church who were believing in what the churches said about the divine attributes of Jesus, yet they did not accept what the churches say about the Gospels and the New Testament of words and laws, as what Eusebius Pamphilius mentioned in his book Church History, died in 340 AD, as well as the Syriac Church has a New Testament, which is called The Peshitta i.e., the simple version, which does not include Peter II and III, and John III, and the Revelation and the Epistle of Jude.

And then Martin Luther has removed seven books from the Old Testament; the Book of Tobit, Judith, the sequel Book of Esther, The Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, the sequel Book of Daniel and the Maccabees I and II, and he has relied upon the Old Testament, which is rolling among the Jews, i.e., Hebrew Version, and had removed the Acts of the Apostles and the Revelation and James, but he backed down on this later.

And after the end of the Church control in Europe, and the occupation of Constantinople and the communication between the East and the West later, which has already led to discovering dozens of manuscripts, that have not been seen or read before; the talk started again about the sources of the Gospels and their reality and their credibility and their reliability, for this several theories have arisen in the past three centuries, and hundreds of scholars and researchers who are searching in the Gospels as a book, away from being sacred and protected by the churches from criticism, and one of the most famous scholar in this time is Professor Bart Ehrman, and the most famous theories are the theory of  "two-source hypothesis" and the Q theory, from German: Quelle, meaning "source" and Utilisation theory.

Below the most important newly discovered Gospels:

1 - Gospel of Peter, its manuscript goes back to the second century, and was discovered in Egypt in 1887 in Akhmim, begins with the trial of Jesus and ends with his appearance to the disciples at Lake Tiberias.

2 - Gospel of Truth, which goes back to the second century, was discovered in Egypt in Nag Hammadi, and talks about the crucifixion of Jesus and declaring the truth of Jesus' father on the cross.

3 - Gospel of Marcion also called the Gospel of the Lord, talks about the trial and crucifixion of Jesus as it is written in the four Gospels.

4 - The Wisdom of Jesus Christ or The Sophia of Jesus Christ, was discovered in Egypt in Nag Hammadi, it talks about Jesus after his resurrection from the tomb.

5 - Gospel of Philip, was discovered in Egypt in Nag Hammadi, and it talks about the crucifixion of Jesus.

6 - Gospel of James, also known as the Infancy Gospel of James, or the Protoevangelium of James, was discovered in Nag Hammadi, and it talks about the crucifixion of Jesus, and that anyone who does not believe in the crucifixion of Jesus will not be saved!

7 - Gospel of Nicodemus, is divided into two parts; Part I: is known as the "Acts of Pilate"; Part II is called "Christ's Descent into Hell".

8 - Gospel of Thomas, which begins with the following paragraph "And He said, "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death", then begins to list many words of Jesus which are mostly consistent with the words of the four Gospels.

9 - Gospel of Judas Iscariot, was discovered in Egypt, and published in the United States a few years ago.

One of the most important notes on these manuscripts and other manuscripts is that they consider Jesus as a god and the son of God, and that he was crucified and died and rose from the dead, which indicates that those authors were believing in Jesus as the churches believe in him, in general.

Hence, I say that the Gospels themselves were the major problem that faced the churches.

For all this, they have been discussed and criticized in an attempt to reach the reality of their existence, and their sources, especially that there is no Gospel which was attributed to Jesus directly.

Yet, in spite of all research, studies and efforts of hundreds of scholars and researches, with my appreciation to them, they could not reach to a clear result of the sources of the Gospels and the true story of Jesus, or in other words, the historical Jesus, and this can be attributed to the fact that the researchers and the scholars did not pay more attention to some important facts including the following facts:

The first fact is the quite lack of knowledge of the sects that have emerged throughout history, which had believed in the Christ as a prophet and did not have any divine attributes, such as the Arians, one of the greatest sects that has followed Arius, which was controlled the most of the world in ancient times, and had seized control of the church of Rome, the church of Constantinople, the church of Alexandria, church of Jerusalem and other cities, and remained until the seventh century. This sect, and the rest of the sects, despite their spread and their strength, the churches were able to hide all or most of their beliefs and their books. Hence, we cannot find the story of Jesus from their point of view, or the reality of their beliefs in Jesus, except what is written about them in the books of the Church’s Fathers!

This ignorance of these sects made researchers lose the most important sources that can help them to know the true story of Jesus and the approach and the way of writing the four Gospels, and the purpose of writing them.

The second fact is the comparison between the principles of the Gospels and the principles of the Old Testament, because if the principles are similar, it indicates that they are from the same source, otherwise they will be from different sources.

The third fact is the examination of the true meaning of the word or term gospel and its uses in the New Testament, and the purpose of writing the Gospels, because the understanding of the true meaning of the term and its uses in a book may lead to knowing and discovering the sources of this book.

The fourth fact is the Gospels authors' relationship with the texts of the Old Testament, and studying the texts that have been cited in the Gospels from the Old Testament, and comparing them with the original texts of the Old Testament, as well as comparing them with what is written in the Gospels about Jesus, both in terms of his life and attributes, and the other persons of the Gospels, or the historical events.

The search for the sources of the Gospels, away from these facts, and considering that the four Gospels as historical books, that recorded the life of Jesus, raised and raises a lot of questions about the credibility and the reality of them. The existence of dozens of differences and contradictions and errors among them, even in the Synoptic Gospels themselves, as well as with the Gospel of John, from the genealogy of Jesus, the entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey and a colt or on a colt only, and his last words on the cross, or how he appeared to the disciples, to the epilogues of the Gospels, etc.; make a lot of researchers and scholars question the existence of Jesus himself as a historical person.

As well as, all the attempts to find the sources of the Gospels through the examination of manuscripts themselves and comparing them with each other to reach the original copies of the Gospels; did not lead to the full truth about their sources, and the way of writing them; and this made many researchers and scholars declare that it is impossible to access the original copies of the Gospel, or to the truth of the Christ historically.

Hence, my approach or my way in this book is to examine the Gospels through the previous facts, excluding the first fact, of course, because nothing change about it yet, to solve and clarify the following issues:

1 - Were the Gospels written through the revelation or the inspiration of the Holy Spirit?

2 - What is the relationship between the Gospels authors and the Old Testament, both in the principles and the texts?

3 - Were the Gospels written according to the historical events that were seen by eyewitnesses or have been heard through reliable sources or not?

4 - What are the reasons of all the differences and errors and contradictions that were mentioned in the Gospels, both in the versions or the manuscripts?

The Principles and the Concepts of the Old Testament: Principle I: the Oneness of the Lord the Creator and worship Him alone

Chapter I

The Principles and Concepts of the Old Testament, and the Relationship of the Gospels Authors with them

The relying of the Gospel authors and the various churches on the Old Testament, and considering themselves as an extension to it, whether by quoting the texts, or its history, requires us a pause for a comparison between the principles and concepts of the Old Testament and the principles and concepts of the Gospels to find out the truth of this reliance and this extension, and to discover the real sources that were relied upon by the Gospel authors, as well as, it requires us to show the relationship between the Old Testament and the Gospel authors, and their position on the Law in general.

For this, I will review the most important principles and concepts of the Old Testament, and compare them with the principles and concepts of the Gospels, to determine if they agree with each other or not; and if not, we should study and search to discover the sources that have been relied upon by the Gospel authors to write their accounts, and I will start with the first and the most important principle, which is the Oneness of the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth and worship Him alone.

Principle I: the Oneness of the Lord the Creator and worship Him alone

The whole Old Testament based on the one principle and great basis, which is the Oneness of the LORD the God the Creator of the heavens and the earth and worship Him alone, there are in the Hebrew language several names that refer to the God such as El, Jehovah, Adonai and Elohim, etc., and all refer to the LORD the Creator the only true God, who there is no God besides Him, and among the gods there is none like Him, He who only does wondrous things, and there is no god in the heavens or on the earth like Him, and He does not lie nor relent, for He is not a man, nor a son of man, and does not dwell on the earth with humans, and He does deny what He said and does not regret what promise. For all this, He asked the mankind through the prophets to worship Him alone and obey to His orders and commandments, and the following texts show these things, which are a few of the texts that mentioned in the Old Testament.

Nehemiah 9:6 You alone are the LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.

In this text we read that the Lord is the only true God, and He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and He who alone gives life to all creations, and all creations in the heavens and earth should worship Him alone.

Psalm 18:31 For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?

This text shows the truth of divinity, and that no one has characterized it, but the LORD God alone. 

Psalm 72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things!

Psalm 72:19 And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

In this text we read that the Lord only who does the miracles and wonders, for this, He alone deserves blessed, and glorify His name forever.

Psalm 83:18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.

This text says that the Lord alone, Most High over all the earth, and his name in the Old Testament Jehovah.

Psalm 86:8 Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works.

Psalm 86:9 All nations whom You have made Shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And shall glorify Your name.

Psalm 86:10 For You are great, and do wondrous things; You alone are God.

In this text we read that is none like the Lord among the alleged gods, because no one can do like His works and His miracles, which show His greatness, and this shows that the LORD alone deserves worship.

Deuteronomy 32:39 ‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.

Deuteronomy 32:40 For I raise My hand to heaven, And say, "As I live forever.

In this text the Lord says that He is the only true God, and no gods with Him or beside Him,  and lives forever, and He kills and makes alive and wounds and heals, and there is no one who can deliver from His hand. And here, if we compare the attributes of the Lord with the attributes of Jesus that have been developed by the Gospels authors and the churches, especially that says that Jesus died on the cross, we will find a big difference between the Lord and Jesus. And when the Lord says that there are no gods with Him or beside Him, does this mean that there are two other gods with Him or beside Him?!

Deuteronomy 4:35 "To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.

Deuteronomy 4:36 "Out of heaven He let you hear His voice, that He might instruct you; on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 4:37 "And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them; and He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power,

Deuteronomy 4:38 "driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance, as it is this day.

Deuteronomy 4:39 "Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

This text says that the Lord is the God in heaven above and on the earth below, there is no other gods, and repeated here the former saying, that there is no god but the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth, yet the Gospel authors and churches say that there are three gods! However, the important thing in this text is the saying that the Lord is the God in the heaven and on the earth, and by comparing this with what Jesus said during his trial that his kingdom is not of this world we will realize the difference between the LORD the God and Jesus, as in the following text:

John 18:33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?"

John 18:34 Jesus answered him, "Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?"

John 18:35 Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?"

John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."

The one who says that his kingdom is not of this world, does this indicates that he has divine attributes as the Lord who is the God in the heavens above and on the earth below?!

2 Chronicles 6:14 and he said: "LORD God of Israel, there is no God in heaven or on earth like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.

This text says that there is no god in heaven and on earth like the LORD, and this text contradicts the words of Jesus who likens his father to himself as in the following texts:

John 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

John 12:45 "And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.

In these texts, Jesus says that he who has seen him, he has seen his father, which means that the father of Jesus is like Jesus and Jesus himself is like the rest of the people, i.e., that Jesus and his father are like humans, and this indicates that there is no relationship between them and the Lord the Creator, because they are like the people and the LORD the God the Creator there is nothing in heaven or on earth like Him.

Daniel 6:26 I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end.

This text says that the Lord is the living God and steadfast forever, and His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end, and these attributes, as we know, were not, in any moment, of the attributes of Jesus, as we read his saying earlier that his kingdom is not of this world, as well as we find that he also refused to be king when the Jews tried to make him their king, as in the following text:

John 6:15 Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.

The one who refuses to become a King, does anyone doubt that he does not have a Kingdom, and it will not be destroyed, and who he refused to be king in the first time to establish his kingdom; what is the guarantee that if he comes back at the second time he will have the kingdom, particularly that he said that his second coming will be before the death of all his disciples, and we all know that all disciples died before nineteen centuries and did not come as he promised, as in the following texts:

Matthew 16:28 "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

Mark 9:1 And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power."

Luke 9:27 "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God."

So, Jesus who said that his kingdom will come before the death of all disciples and did not come. Could anyone say that he has a kingdom, and will not pass away, and will not be destroyed, which did not appear after two thousand years? Does this indicates that his kingdom will not pass away forever, as is the case of the Kingdom of the LORD the Creator, which each atom and galaxy in the universe refers to the greatness of his kingdom and his power?!

2 Chronicles 14:11 And Asa cried out to the LORD his God, and said, "LORD, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O LORD our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!"

This text says that the Lord does not let man prevail against Him, while, a handful people have prevailed against Jesus, and whipped him and beat him and mocked him, and spat on him and at the end crucified him, and this is according to what is written in the Gospels, so the difference is very clear between the LORD and Jesus and does not need more explanations!

Psalm 121:4 Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 121:5 The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.

This text says that the Lord shall neither slumber nor sleep, and the Gospels authors have written that Jesus was sleeping, and even he had slept on a pillow in a ship, and this indicates that he didn't have a unique relationship with the Lord, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, but as the rest of the people, by prayer and servitude and submission to His will.

Mark 4:38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!

Deuteronomy 6:5 "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

The Lord the God is one, and I am wondering if one means three?

1 Samuel 15:29 "And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent."

In this text we read that the Lord the God is not a man, so what did Jesus say about himself in the Gospels?

John 8:40 "But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

Jesus says about himself that he is a man, and the LORD God in the Old Testament said that He is not a man, so how the Gospels authors and the churches say that Jesus who is a man is a god, if their sources are the same sources of the Old Testament?!

2 Chronicles 6:18 "But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

2 Chronicles 6:19 "Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You.

In this text we read that the Lord does not dwell with men on the earth, because heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him, and the Gospels authors and the Churches say that Jesus was a man, and dwelt on the earth, not only this, but dwelt in the womb of a woman nine months, and he was sleeping on a pillow in a ship. So, do these characteristics indicate that he is a god?

Deuteronomy 4:12 "And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice.

Deuteronomy 4:13 "So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

Deuteronomy 4:14 "And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.

Deuteronomy 4:15 "Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no form when the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire,

Deuteronomy 4:16 "lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female,

Deuteronomy 4:17 "the likeness of any animal that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air,

Deuteronomy 4:18 "the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth.

These verses emphasize that nobody has seen the Lord, not only in Sinai, but in the other places, and there are texts declare that anyone see the Lord will die, because it is unable to see the glory and the greatness of the Lord, as in the following text:

Exodus 33:18 And he said, "Please, show me Your glory."

Exodus 33:19 Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

Exodus 33:20 But He said, "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live."

While the Gospels authors and the churches say that Jesus is like his father, thus they are like other human beings in terms of the form and image!

Not only this, but they say that people had mocked Jesus and flogged him and spat on him and crucified him. So is there any similarity between the LORD the Creator who has not been seen; and no one see Him and remains alive, and Jesus and his father, who are resemble the people and anyone can see them?

John 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

John 12:45 "And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.

Then the text starts threatening people not to make statues in any form, which the churches did not commit to it, especially the Catholic Church, which is not only making statues of different types, but they anoint these statues of the chrism, and say that this anointing with some prayers makes the Holy Spirit comes in those statues!

Isaiah 40:18 To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?

Isaiah 40:19 The workman molds an image, The goldsmith overspreads it with gold, And the silversmith casts silver chains.

Isaiah 40:20 Whoever is too impoverished for such a contribution Chooses a tree that will not rot; He seeks for himself a skillful workman To prepare a carved image that will not totter.

Isaiah 40:21 Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

Isaiah 40:25 "Or to whom shall I be equal?" says the Holy One.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.

Isaiah 40:27 Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: "My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God"?

Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

So, to whom do the Gospels authors and the churches liken the LORD the God? Or what likeness do they compare to Him? Or to whom shall He be equal?

Is Jesus compare and equal to the LORD the Creator, who was a man, and eats and drinks and sleeps and feels hungry and thirsty, and was beaten and flogged and crucified and spat on him?!

Have the Gospels authors and the churches not known? Have they not heard that The LORD the God the Creator of the heavens and the earth is not a man, neither faints nor is weary, while, Jesus was feeling weary and tired if he walks a few kilometers?

John 4:6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

To whom then do the Gospels authors liken the LORD? Or what likeness do they compare to Him? Or to whom shall He be equal?", says the Holy One.

Is Jesus compare and equal to the LORD the Creator, who could not protect himself from the suffering?!

Are Jesus' attributes like the attributes of the LORD, the God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth to be equal to Him?!

The Lord says in the Old Testament, He is the First and He is the Last; Beside Him there is no god, and no one can proclaim as He does, and nothing is like Him, as in the following text:

Isaiah 44:6 "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

Isaiah 44:7 And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, Since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, Let them show these to them.

Isaiah 44:8 Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one’."

Isaiah 44:9 Those who make an image, all of them are useless, And their precious things shall not profit; They are their own witnesses; They neither see nor know, that they may be ashamed.

Isaiah 44:10 Who would form a god or mold an image That profits him nothing?

Isaiah 44:11 Surely all his companions would be ashamed; And the workmen, they are mere men. Let them all be gathered together, Let them stand up; Yet they shall fear, They shall be ashamed together.

Isaiah 44:12 The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals, Fashions it with hammers, And works it with the strength of his arms. Even so, he is hungry, and his strength fails; He drinks no water and is faint.

Isaiah 44:13 The craftsman stretches out his rule, He marks one out with chalk; He fashions it with a plane, He marks it out with the compass, And makes it like the figure of a man, According to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house.

Isaiah 44:14 He cuts down cedars for himself, And takes the cypress and the oak; He secures it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a pine, and the rain nourishes it.

Isaiah 44:15 Then it shall be for a man to burn, For he will take some of it and warm himself; Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread; Indeed he makes a god and worships it; He makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.

Isaiah 44:16 He burns half of it in the fire; With this half he eats meat; He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He even warms himself and says, "Ah! I am warm, I have seen the fire."

Isaiah 44:17 And the rest of it he makes into a god, His carved image. He falls down before it and worships it, Prays to it and says, "Deliver me, for you are my god!"

Isaiah 44:18 They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, And their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

Isaiah 44:19 And no one considers in his heart, Nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, "I have burned half of it in the fire, Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals; I have roasted meat and eaten it; And shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?"

Isaiah 44:20 He feeds on ashes; A deceived heart has turned him aside; And he cannot deliver his soul, Nor say, "Is there not a lie in my right hand?"

Isaiah 44:21 "Remember these, O Jacob, And Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!

Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you."

Isaiah 44:23 Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.

Isaiah 44:24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

Isaiah 44:25 Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;

Isaiah 44:26 Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited’, To the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built’, And I will raise up her waste places;

Isaiah 44:27 Who says to the deep, ‘Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers’;

Isaiah 44:28 Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, "You shall be built," And to the temple, "Your foundation shall be laid."‘

This text needs to reading and thinking and contemplating on its meanings more than interpretation; to make the good people of followers of the churches understand the difference between the LORD the God the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and what the Gospels authors and the churches say about Jesus, as well as to understand what will be their destiny following the end of this life, as a result of worshiping other gods, away from the Lord God the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Holy One, who there is no creature like Him or equal to him, who He is the First and the Last and there is no god beside Him, who makes all things, who stretches out the heavens all Alone. And here I am wondering if the phrase "there is no god beside Him" means that there are other gods beside Him, or the word "alone" means three gods, or means One God?!

This text confirms that the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth is the only true God in the universe, no gods beside Him or with Him.

The texts that talk about this fact in Old Testament are too many, including the following texts:

Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me,

Isaiah 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting That there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other;

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things’.

Isaiah 45:15 Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!

Isaiah 45:16 They shall be ashamed And also disgraced, all of them; They shall go in confusion together, Who are makers of idols.

Isaiah 45:17 But Israel shall be saved by the LORD With an everlasting salvation; You shall not be ashamed or disgraced Forever and ever.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

Isaiah 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, In a dark place of the earth; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain’; I, the LORD, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Isaiah 45:20 "Assemble yourselves and come; Draw near together, You who have escaped from the nations. They have no knowledge, Who carry the wood of their carved image, And pray to a god that cannot save.

Isaiah 45:21 Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me.

Isaiah 45:22 "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

The LORD is the God, who created the heavens and the earth, there is no other god beside Him or with Him, to be known by the whole of humanity from all over the world that there are no other gods, who hides Himself not as Jesus and his father, who the people did not see him only, but also beat him and whipped him and spat on him and mocked him and crucified him!

The LORD is One, who created the earth, who did not create it in vain, who has not spoken in secret or in a dark place of the earth, who He was saying things that will happen in the future, which they had occurred as He said, unlike Jesus, who was often speaking in secret and in the dark, as in the following text:

Matthew 10:27 "Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.

He also did not say any prophecy that will happen in the future and occurred as he said! I have shown in detail all of his Prophecies that did not take place, in the book "Jesus the Son of Joseph the Carpenter... Confusing Questions", and here I will just mention one prophecy as an example.

Matthew 10:23 "When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

In this text Jesus says that he will come back again before the disciples have completed their preaching in the cities of Israel, and we know that the disciples and churches have completed the preaching in the most of the cities of the world, not only in Israel, yet he did not come back again! For this we have to say that there are no gods beside the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth or with Him, and no Savior except the LORD the Creator, as He said in the text.

Isaiah 46:5 "To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike?

Isaiah 46:6 They lavish gold out of the bag, And weigh silver on the scales; They hire a goldsmith, and he makes it a god; They prostrate themselves, yes, they worship.

Isaiah 46:7 They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it And set it in its place, and it stands; From its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer Nor save him out of his trouble.

Isaiah 46:8 "Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors.

Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me.

In this text confirmation once again that the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth is the only true God, and there are no other gods, and there is no god like him or equal to him, and if anyone has doubts about this fact, he should compare the gods and their attributes with the Lord and His attributes, and I have shown the difference between the attributes of the Lord the only true God the Creator of the heavens and the earth; and the attributes of Jesus and his father in the book "The Gospels Figures", and showed in detail that there is no similarity between the attributes of Jesus and his father; and the attributes of the LORD in the Old Testament, and the most important is that the LORD the God the Creator of the heavens and the earth is the One, there is no god besides Him, there is no god like Him, He is not a man, He who hides Himself, and no man can see Him, not as Jesus and his father, who was a man, and did not hide himself, and was like the rest of the people, as in the following texts:

John 8:40 "But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

John 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

John 12:45 "And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.

1Kin 8:60 "that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other.

In this text Solomon wishes that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is One God, and there are no gods beside Him or with Him.

Isaiah 44:8 Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one’."

In this text the Lord asks the Children of Israel to be witnesses that there are no gods beside Him or with Him, because He had sent many prophets to them, and they had seen many miracles, whether in Egypt or in Sinai or after the entry into the Holy Land.

So, is there any prophet of the Children of Israel did not keep this testimony, and said that there are other true gods should be worshiped with the LORD the Creator, until the New Testament authors came and the various churches emerged and broke this principle, and talked about the multiplicity of gods, that have embodied in the physical things, whether man or dove.

2Kings 19:19 "Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD God, You alone."

Isaiah 37:20 "Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD, You alone."

In these texts we read that the children of Israel were proclaiming all the time that the Lord is the only true God, particularly, in the times of distress and calamities, who they were seeking for the LORD's salvation to prove his Oneness and glory to the nations, who were fighting against them.

From all of the above, we realize that the Gospels authors did not agree with the first and the most important principle of the Old Testament, which is the Oneness of the LORD the Creator and worship Him alone, and violated it, which gives us a clear indication that the Gospels authors have nothing to do with the Old Testament in terms of principles and sources, including the Revelation and the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and this will be shown more clearly in the following chapters.

The Principles and the Concepts of the Old Testament: Principle II: The Word of the LORD

Chapter I

The Principles and Concepts of the Old Testament, and the Relationship of the Gospels Authors with them

The relying of the Gospel authors and the various churches on the Old Testament, and considering themselves as an extension to it, whether by quoting the texts, or its history, requires us a pause for a comparison between the principles and concepts of the Old Testament and the principles and concepts of the Gospels to find out the truth of this reliance and this extension, and to discover the real sources that were relied upon by the Gospel authors, as well as, it requires us to show the relationship between the Old Testament and the Gospel authors, and their position on the Law in general.

For this, I will review the most important principles and concepts of the Old Testament, and compare them with the principles and concepts of the Gospels, to determine if they agree with each other or not; and if not, we should study and search to discover the sources that have been relied upon by the Gospel authors to write their accounts.

Principle II: The Word of the LORD

The Word of the Lord is one of the Old Testament principles and concepts, which is a one of the attributes of the LORD the Creator of the heavens and the earth, which means that the Lord speaks the words to show what He wants, whether in the creations or in the commands and orders, etc., and the Old Testament has shown its characteristics and its fields of work.

The first field is the creations, we have read that the Lord God has created the heavens and the earth and the creatures by His word, including the following texts:

Psalm 33:6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

Psalm 33:7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses.

Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

Psalm 33:9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalm 33:10 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect.

Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.

Psalm 147:15 He sends out His command to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.

Psalm 147:16 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;

Psalm 147:17 He casts out His hail like morsels; Who can stand before His cold?

Psalm 147:18 He sends out His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters flow.

Psalm 147:19 He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

Psalm 147:20 He has not dealt thus with any nation; And as for His judgments, they have not known them. Praise the LORD!

Psalm 148:1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!

Psalm 148:2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!

Psalm 148:3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

Psalm 148:4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!

Psalm 148:5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created.

Psalm 148:6 He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away.

As we read in these verses that the heavens and the earth and the creatures and the natural phenomena have been created by the Word of the LORD and His command, when He says something; that thing should be done directly, does not fail to perform its functions, and stood fast.

The second field is changing the natural phenomena that were created by His word, which does not change in the normal state, to show His ability and His greatness in control of all creatures, and therefore He must be worshiped alone, and this appears in the miracles, that have been done by the prophets in the Old Testament, as in the following text:

Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 107:21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

Psalm 107:22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.

The third field is the laws, commandments, decrees and prophecies; which were said to the peoples through the prophets, either directly like Moses, or by the Spirit, or an angel, or inspired through dreams, as happened with the rest of the prophets, and we have read a lot of them in the Old Testament, especially in the first five books, known as Torah, as well as, we also read a lot of verses say: " the LORD God said ", "the LORD God asked", etc.

Also we find that the word of the Lord in the Old Testament has several characteristics, including that it is absolutely true, stands forever, it shall not return to Him void, but it shall accomplish what He pleases, and it shall prosper in the thing that He has sent it to it.

In the following pages I'll highlight on these characteristics from the Old Testament texts, and compare them with what is written in the New Testament about Jesus' words.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever."

Isaiah 55:10 "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

In these phrases we read that the word of the Lord shall be when goes forth from His mouth; it shall not return to Him void, but it shall accomplish what He pleases, and it shall prosper in the things for which He sent it, and linked between the word of the LORD and the natural phenomena, such as rain and snow, which they do their functions throughout the ages and times. So if we compare these characteristics with the words of Jesus in the Gospels, we find that his words do not have these characteristics! I will give a few examples:

Matthew 19:27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"

Matthew 19:28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Matthew 19:29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You."

Mark 10:29 So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,

Mark 10:30 "who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time — houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions — and in the age to come, eternal life.

Luke 18:28 Then Peter said, "See, we have left all and followed You."

Luke 18:29 So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

Luke 18:30 "who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life."

These are some of the words of Jesus to his disciples in Matthew, Mark and Luke, and nothing of these happened, for this, the churches have tried to change the true meaning of these words to the metaphorical meaning, and said that these words are not a true promises, i.e., that these words of Jesus do not run very swiftly and do not stand forever and it returns to him void, and it does not accomplish what he pleases, and it does not prosper in the thing for which he sent it.

So, are the words of Jesus like the word of the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth?!

Mark 11:20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

Mark 11:21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away."

Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

Mark 11:23 "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea’, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

In this text we read that Jesus has promised his disciples to give them the ability and the power to move and cast the mountains into the sea, and this promise never been fulfilled, unless if we say that the disciples did not have faith in him!

So, this text shows the difference between the word of the LORD and the words of Jesus.

Luke 17:5 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."

Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’, and it would obey you.

In this text Jesus has showed the amount of faith required to fulfill his promises to his disciples, which is a grain of mustard, however, there was no one among the churches over the last twenty centuries, including the disciples themselves, who could say to the mulberry tree (sycamine tree) be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea, and it obeyed him, and this shows the difference between the word of the Lord and the words of Jesus, unless if the churches said that their faith in Jesus is less than a grain of mustard.

John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

John 14:13 "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:14 "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

In this text, John wrote that Jesus has said that his disciples will do miracles like his miracles, and even greater than them, and this promise never been fulfilled, especially raising the dead, which shows the difference between the word of the Lord the Creator and the words of Jesus.

John 6:47 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

John 6:48 "I am the bread of life.

John 6:49 "Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

John 6:50 "This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.

John 6:51 "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

John 6:52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?"

John 6:53 Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

John 6:54 "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:55 "For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

John 6:56 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

John 6:57 "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

John 6:58 "This is the bread which came down from heaven — not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever."

John 6:59 These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.

In this text, John wrote that Jesus has said that whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood will live forever and will not die, not as the children of Israel who ate the manna in the wilderness and died, and this saying did not run very swiftly and did not stand forever and it returns to him void, and it did not accomplish what he pleases, and it did not prosper in the thing for which he sent it. Even though the churches eat his flesh and drink his blood each year dozens of times, over the last twenty centuries, they die as the children of Israel who ate the manna in Sinai and died, and this shows the difference between the word of the Lord the Creator and the words of Jesus.

From these examples and many others, we realize that the characteristics of the word of the Lord are different from the words of Jesus.

Isaiah 34:16 "Search from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these shall fail; Not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.

Isaiah 34:17 He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it among them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they shall dwell in it."

This text asks the people to search for the prophecies from the book of the Lord, and says none of them will be missing or be failing, for His mouth has commanded it. This indicates its importance and it will not return to Him void, but will accomplish what He pleases, not as the words of Jesus which we have read earlier!

1Kings 8:56 "Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.

This text says that there is not a one word has failed of all the good promises of the LORD, which has been given through His servant Moses, and here I will not talk much about the words of Jesus, but I will give one example to show the difference between the word of the Lord the Creator and the words of Jesus, which is as follows:

Luke 21:18 "But not a hair of your head shall be lost.

In this text, Luke wrote that Jesus has said to his disciples that not a hair of their head will perish or be lost, and everyone knows that all disciples died and perished with them all hair of their heads, so the failure to fulfill his words indicates to the difference between the word of the Lord the Creator and the words of Jesus, and then the difference between the LORD the God the Creator of the heavens and the earth and Jesus who was born of a woman, and this difference appears very clearly in the following text:

Ezekiel 12:25 "For I am the LORD. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it," says the Lord GOD’."

The Lord the God when He speaks, his words shall be fulfilled without delay, for He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, yet the other gods when they speak their words will not be achieved or fulfilled in the near future or far future, as the case of the children of Israel in the time of their rebellion, they were thinking that the words of the Lord, which had been said to the prophets, will not be achieved or fulfilled at the exact time that set by Him, but about later times, also as the churches say about the second coming of Jesus, even though he said that he will come before the death of all disciples, as in the following texts:

Matthew 16:28 "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

Mark 9:1 And He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power."

Luke 9:27 "But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God."

Matthew 10:23 "When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Despite these words, all disciples died, and he did not come yet, forcing the churches to say that these words for long times later, and not as Matthew, Mark and Luke wrote on the lips of Jesus in the previous texts, which is like the saying of the Jews about the word of the Lord, but the Lord did not accept this view of the Jews about his word, and showed them that none of his words will not be delayed any longer; and whatever he says it will be fulfilled, as in the following text:

Ezekiel 12:26 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Ezekiel 12:27 "Son of man, look, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off’.

Ezekiel 12:28 "Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: "None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done," says the Lord GOD’."

And to confirm that the words of the Lord should be fulfilled as He said in the Old Testament, we read dozens of texts that speak on this subject; the following are some of them:

Joshua 21:45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

1 Samuel 1:23 And Elkanah her husband said to her, "Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him. Only let the LORD establish His word." So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

1 Samuel 3:19 So Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

1 Samuel 3:20 And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the LORD.

1 Samuel 3:21 Then the LORD appeared again in Shiloh. For the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.

Given the great value of these characteristics of the Lord's Word; the prophets warned the children of Israel against violating the Lord's Words, as in the following text:

Joshua 23:14 "Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.

Joshua 23:15 "Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come upon you which the LORD your God promised you, so the LORD will bring upon you all harmful things, until He has destroyed you from this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

Joshua 23:16 "When you have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed down to them, then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you shall perish quickly from the good land which He has given you."

Joshua in this text confirms two things, the first is that all the words of the Lord to the children of Israel had been fulfilled as He said, not one word of them has failed, the second is the warning of violation of the word of the LORD, especially worship other gods with the LORD or beside Him, however, the Gospels authors and the churches did not comply these two things, because the words of Jesus had not been fulfilled as he said, and did not abide the covenant of the Lord, because they worship three gods and violated dozens of commandments.

Moreover, we note in the Old Testament that there is a correlation between the Oneness of the LORD and the word of the LORD and the Law, as in the following texts:

Deuteronomy 4:35 "To you it was shown, that you might know that the LORD Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.

Deuteronomy 4:36 "Out of heaven He let you hear His voice, that He might instruct you; on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 4:37 "And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their descendants after them; and He brought you out of Egypt with His Presence, with His mighty power,

Deuteronomy 4:38 "driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance, as it is this day.

Deuteronomy 4:39 "Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

Deuteronomy 4:40 "You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the LORD your God is giving you for all time."

In this text we read the words of the Lord Himself declares that the LORD Himself is the only true God; there is no other god besides Him, and the LORD Himself is the God in heaven above and on the earth below; there are no other gods, while the Gospel authors and churches say that there are three gods, and this indicates that they have violated the word of the Lord in the Old Testament.

Deuteronomy 4:12 "And the LORD spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice.

Deuteronomy 4:13 "So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.

Deuteronomy 4:14 "And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.

Deuteronomy 4:15 "Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no form when the LORD spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire,

Deuteronomy 4:16 "lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female,

Deuteronomy 4:17 "the likeness of any animal that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air,

Deuteronomy 4:18 "the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth.

This text says that when the Lord spoke to the children of Israel in Sinai; they heard the sound of the words, but they saw no form; they only heard a voice, for this, warned them to make for themselves a carved images in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female, and telling people that it is like the Lord, yet, unfortunately, these words have been rejected by the Gospels authors and the churches, because the Gospel authors said that the Lord resemble the man, as in the following texts:

John 14:8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

John 14:9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

John 12:45 "And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.

And the churches make statues and images, which the Lord has warned of them.

Exodus 20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:

Exodus 20:2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.

Exodus 20:4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

In this text we read that the Lord has spoken clearly that the people should not have other gods before Him, and should not make for themselves carved images in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath, and should not bow down to them or serve them and worship them, while the Gospel authors and the churches worship three gods, and make idols and carved images to Jesus and Mary and many others, and bow down to them and serve them!

Deuteronomy 4:1 "Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you.

Deuteronomy 4:2 "You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

In this text the Lord asks the people to keep his commandments and statutes and judgments, especially worship Him alone, and not to worship other gods with Him or beside Him, and He told the children of Israel that they should not add to the word which He commanded them, nor take from it, while the Gospels authors and the churches had added to the commandments of the Lord and took from it, as will be shown later, and this shows the difference between the words of the Lord the Creator and the Gospels.

Deuteronomy 5:31 ‘But as for you, stand here by Me, and I will speak to you all the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments which you shall teach them, that they may observe them in the land which I am giving them to possess’.

Deuteronomy 5:32 "Therefore you shall be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

Deuteronomy 5:33 "You shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.

In this text the Lord asks the children of Israel to be careful to do as the LORD their God has commanded them; they shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. So why the Gospels authors and Churches did not comply this saying, and they call to worship three gods, and violate many of the commandments?!

Deuteronomy 27:26 ‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law’. And all the people shall say, ‘Amen’!

In this text the Lord says cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this Law, and the most important thing in the Law is that there is no other gods beside the LORD or with Him.

Furthermore that the word of the LORD is not mysterious, as in the following text:

Deuteronomy 30:11 "For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.

Deuteronomy 30:12 "It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it’?

Deuteronomy 30:13 "Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it’?

Deuteronomy 30:14 "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

Therefore the prophets and the believers kings of Israel had committed to all commandments of the Lord and His words, as in the following texts:

1 Chronicles 21:18 Therefore, the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David that David should go and erect an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

1 Chronicles 21:19 So David went up at the word of Gad, which he had spoken in the name of the LORD.

1 Chronicles 21:20 Now Ornan turned and saw the angel; and his four sons who were with him hid themselves, but Ornan continued threshing wheat.

In this text we read that David had committed to the words of the Lord, and bought the threshing floor to erect an altar to the LORD.

2 Chronicles 11:2 But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

2 Chronicles 11:3 "Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,

2 Chronicles 11:4 ‘Thus says the LORD: "You shall not go up or fight against your brethren! Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me."‘" Therefore they obeyed the words of the LORD, and turned back from attacking Jeroboam.

In this text we read that Rehoboam the son of Solomon and the tribes of Judah and Benjamin obeyed the words of the LORD; not to fight against their brethren, and returned back to their homes as the Lord commanded.

But this was not always the case in the history of the children of Israel; we read that the children of Israel were in some periods trying to break the word of the Lord, but they were backing down as a result of hearing the threat to them by the LORD God through some prophets, as in the following text:

2 Chronicles 12:5 Then Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah, who were gathered together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, "Thus says the LORD: ‘You have forsaken Me, and therefore I also have left you in the hand of Shishak’."

2 Chronicles 12:6 So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, "The LORD is righteous."

2 Chronicles 12:7 Now when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, "They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance. My wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

2 Chronicles 12:8 "Nevertheless they will be his servants, that they may distinguish My service from the service of the kingdoms of the nations."

Yet, in many times the children of Israel have not abided the word of the Lord and His commandments, and then the penalties and calamities and curses came upon them as the LORD said to them, and eventually, they have been deported as captives to Babylon. There are many texts in the Old Testament talk about this issue, but I will mention just one text on this matter, which is as follows:

2Kings 10:10 "Know now that nothing shall fall to the earth of the word of the LORD which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab; for the LORD has done what He spoke by His servant Elijah."

In this text we read that the LORD has done what He spoke by His servant Elijah concerning the house of Ahab, one of non-believers of the kings of the children of Israel, and nothing has fallen to the earth of the word of the LORD, and these characteristics of the words of the Lord arise from being the word of the Lord the Creator of the heavens and the earth, it's not the word of a man, so there's no any possibility for untruth or not to be achieved, which appears clearly in the following text:

Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

The Lord is not a man, nor a son of man, for this He does not lie nor repent, and does not say words or promises that do not implement, and these facts if we compare them with the attributes of Jesus and his words and promises, as is written in the Gospels, we will find that they did not achieve, also we find that every word in this text denounces and refutes all what is said in the Gospels and the various churches about Jesus, the text says that the LORD is not a man nor a son of man, while the Gospels say that Jesus was a man and a son of man, so how a man and the son of man become a god besides the Lord or with Him?!

John 8:40 "But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.

And the son of man is the title of Jesus, which has been mentioned more than eighty times in the Gospels.

With regard to not lying and repenting, we find opposite of it in what is written in the Gospels about Jesus, as in the following texts:

John 12:32 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."

John 12:33 This He said, signifying by what death He would die.

John 18:11 So Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?"

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

These verses show that Jesus has accepted to die on the cross, yet after several hours we hear him saying "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"! As in the following texts:

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

With regard to the saying "Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?", we have read previously promises of Jesus to the disciples to give them a hundred times for anything they will leave for his name's sake, and the Gospels authors wrote that Peter has left his ship for Jesus' sake, however, Peter did not take a hundred ships, not even one ship, but he lived a hard life and he worked to fend for himself.

And to confirm that the word of the Lord should be fulfilled as the Lord said at the exact time, we should read some texts from the Old Testament:

Genesis 21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken.

Genesis 21:2 For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

This text is part of the story of the LORD's promise to Sarah that she will give birth to Isaac during a year, which is what happened as the Lord said and at the time set by the Lord.

Genesis 28:13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: "I am the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.

Genesis 28:14 "Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Genesis 28:15 "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you."

In this text we read the LORD's promise to Jacob and his descendants to give them the Holy Land, which is what happened to him as the Lord promised, and has fulfilled his words.

Genesis 46:2 Then God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, "Jacob, Jacob!" And he said, "Here I am."

Genesis 46:3 So He said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.

Genesis 46:4 "I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes."

Here again, the words of the LORD have been fulfilled as He said, and the children of Israel went to Egypt and brought them out of it.

Exodus 16:11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

Exodus 16:12 "I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the LORD your God’."

In this text we read that the Lord has spoken to Moses, that the children of Israel will eat meat and bread, which is already what happened as the LORD said.

2Kings 21:10 And the LORD spoke by His servants the prophets, saying,

2Kings 21:11 "Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols),

2Kings 21:12 "therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle.

In this text we read that the word of the Lord has been fulfilled as He said, because the Lord has warned the children of Israel to do abominations, and if they did, He will bring many calamities and disasters and punishments upon them, and when the children of Israel did these abominations and sins, the Lord has achieved his words upon them, and eventually, they were expelled to Babylon as captives, as it is written in the Old Testament.

Finally, one of the weirdest notes in the Gospels is the lack of any word that was attributed directly to the LORD, except two sentences were attributed to the voice came from heaven, which did not specify if He had spoken it directly or not, and I do not know if it makes sense to attribute them to the Lord, especially since they contradict the most important principle of Old Testament that is the Oneness of the LORD the Creator, those two sentences stated in three places, the first is in the time of the baptism of Jesus, the second is in the story of the Transfiguration, when he went up to a mountain and met with Moses and Elijah, and the third is shortly before his crucifixion, and they will be discussed later, which are as follows:

Mark 1:9 It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

Mark 1:10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.

Mark 1:11 Then a voice came from heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Mark 9:7 And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"

John 12:27 "Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

John 12:28 "Father, glorify Your name." Then a voice came from heaven, saying, "I have both glorified it and will glorify it again."

John 12:29 Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to Him."

John 12:30 Jesus answered and said, "This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake.

From all of the above, we conclude that the Gospels are not like the Word of the LORD, and unrelated to the Old Testament, and this indicates that the sources of the Gospels are different from the sources of the Old Testament, which requires us to search for those sources.
